Pantry item to help with calming a heartburn
Heartburn most often is caused by consuming higher acidity foods and drinks, alcohol and cigarette smoking as well as stress. If high acidity is the cause of your heartburn, baking soda is an effective way to ease the burning sensation. As baking soda is alkalising, it will help with reducing the heartburn cause by high stomach acid and/or highly acidic foods. Make sure to continue to avoid triggering foods and drinks until the heartburn has subsided.

- one teaspoon baking soda
- place in a glass of filtered water
- stir until fully dissolved and drink
