Stop chewing gum! A lot of chewing gum brands contain the sweeteners sorbitol and mannitol, which your body finds it very difficult to digest. When they eventually are digested they will increase the chance of you experiencing gas and diarrhea, especially if your gut is sensitive due to IBS.
