Black tea is known for It's astringent proprieties, if you begin to feel that burning sensation on your lip that tells you you are about to get a cold sore, you want to act as quickly as possible otherwise you could keep that cold sore for days.

What You'll Need

  • A black tea bag
  • Repeat as necessary.

What You'll Do

  • Make yourself a cup of tea and relax, save the tea bag in another cup and allow it to cool down. When you finish your tea, the tea bag should be cold enough to be applied on the cold sore keep it on for as long as you can
  • Put the tea bag on several time a day.
