Intermittent Fasting to aid in healthy weight loss
Intermittent fasting is an eating technique that has become more popular in recent years. While there are a number of forms of intermittent fasting and varying methods within this broad category, they ultimately share similarity in that regular, short-term fasts are employed for a variety of health goals. Numerous studies have revealed that intermittent fasting can have positive effects on a variety of disease states and risk factors, but this is beyond the scope of this tip. In terms of weight loss, many have found intermittent fasting to be beneficial. A good way to start with intermittent fasting is the 16/8 method. This means, you'll fast for 16 hours and take in your daily calories in an 8 hour period...Don't worry, sleeping counts! For example, if you eat your first meal at 12 pm, and your last meal at 8 pm, congratulations, you've just intermittently fasted. Of course, some weight loss benefits of intermittent fasting may be due to decreased overall caloric intake-after all, it's hard to get the same number of calories into your body in a shorter period. However, there are a number of metabolic changes that take place that may actually help stabilize insulin levels and provide larger spans of time in which HGH and other muscle building and fat burning hormones can be upregulated. Either way, this is a fascinating area of research and many people have found success with it.
