Because we are so connected to our phones, our sleep can be disrupted when our phone is used as our alarm clock and sits by our bed. When this is unavoidable, try putting your phone onto airplane mode when you are not using it. That way notifications won't distract you and you can take a few moments in the morning when you wake up before switching it back on, while still letting the alarm wake you. Airplane mode also conserves the battery so if you are in a meeting, or with friends and don't want to be distracted, you can still have your phone on to take photos and make notes - without spending your time checking out notifications!
