Stop a Cold in its Tracks: Bear Medicine and Olive Leaf Extract

I discovered this combo over the years. Initially I used only a particular brand of Olive leaf extract called "Wellness Olive Leaf." In the US, the government doesn't check ingredients on herbal medicines and I'm convinced there is more in the product than olive leaf extract because taking it has a strong drying effect (which olive leaf does not). Whatever it is, it works. Then, I learned about raw osha root, which where I live is referred to as "bear medicine" because bear eat it when they are ill and also rub it all over themselves when they first emerge from hibernation. You MUST find a reliable source of osha root, because it can be confused with another similar looking plant that is poisonous. The combination of osha root and olive leaf extract -- if you catch the cold soon enough -- can stop it in its tracks.

What You'll Need

  • Wellness

What You'll Do

  • Take one capsule/tablet of Wellness Olive Leaf, with food.
  • Break off a stick of osha root that is about the length of the fingernail on your smallest finger. Put it in your mouth and chew it just enough to break the stick open a little and start to make a paste. Then put it under your tongue and keep it there as long as you can.
  • 3. Go to bed and let yourself sleep as long as possible.
